Travelize Background
Travelize International AB is based in Sweden and their destination management platform also named "Travelize", has over 125 deployments in over 25 countries including at Hemtours (now Diethlem Sri Lanka) The system includes a host of CRM functionality and support both inbound and outbound Tour Functionality. One of the most attractive features of the Travelize platform is its extremely flexible and robust booking engine. The system is continuously upgraded and improved to help customers optimize the value addition it brings to a customer's business.
Travelize Asian Edition
The Asia edition is a heavily customized version of the Travelize platform, the changes were all introduced to upgrade the system to function as a full Operations Management platform for a Tourism Company. The Asia edition also includes several key functionalities which are unique to Tourism Operators in the region. Some of the new functionality introduced by SP Solutions include:
  • Multiple rates - the system supports general rates, market specific rates and agent rates.
  • Multiple rate conversion tables - in Sri Lanka most companies use the SLAITO forecast rate for quotes and the SLAITO actual rate for invoicing.
  • Transport based on mileage and pax - the system allows creation of different vehicle types with different pax limitations which the system suggests when creating a quote. The itinerary creator can then generate an itinerary by adding trips or transport legs, which have a mileage which is then multiplied by the per kilometer rate for the vehicle type.
  • Vehicle and guide allocation - the system allows the DMC to assign vehicles and guides to a particular confirmed tour once it is invoiced.
  • Voucher generation and delivery - the system supports generation and delivery of all vouchers for all suppliers in the system.
  • Validations - the system has many built in checks and balances to ensure that there is no user error which causes under or over invoicing, and validates a booking before it is invoiced.
  • Bill payment and reconciliation - the system supports bill payments and reconciliation prior to transferring information to any accepted FINANCIAL back office package - Integrations have been successfully implemented for SAP.
Partnership between Travelize and SP
Travelize and SP took a sales partnership to a new level in 2007 when Travelize appointed SP as a development partner and we now have 5 trained developers working for Travelize: Improving the system providing support for the 125 deployments and creating integrations to external systems such as GDS system and other popular web based booking engines and payment gateways. The partnership is recognized by SIDA who have provided a grant for technology and knowledge transfer between the two organizations.

SP's work customizing the system was further recognized by the National Best Quality Software Awards in 2008 when we were awarded a GOLD in the Tourism category
